| Obverse description | Central field occupied by the quartered arms of Saxony and Poland, displayed on an ornate baroque cartouche. The Saxon quarters bear the traditional barry of ten with a central diagonal stripe, while the Polish quarters display the crowned eagle. The escutcheon is surmounted by an electoral bonnet or princely crown. Mint initials I.E.C. appear in the lower portion of the field below the shield. The circular Latin legend reads D.G. FRID.CHRIST.PR.POL.ET.SAX., identifying Friedrich Christian by the grace of God as Prince of Poland and Saxony. |
