Reverse description The Jersey shield of arms — depicting three passant guardant lions or on a field gules — occupies the central field, with the four-digit date divided and displayed to either side of the shield. The legend 'STATES OF JERSEY' arcs around the upper periphery, flanked by ornamental stops, while the denomination 'ONE TWENTYFOURTH OF A SHILLING' is inscribed in a straight line along the lower field beneath the shield. The design is enclosed by a toothed border. The heraldic shield is rendered in crisp detail consistent with George Kruger Gray's engraving style.
