| Obverse description | Left-facing crowned effigy of King George V, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the Imperial State Crown, beard, and robes. The truncation of the bust is visible at the lower field. A continuous Latin legend encircles the effigy along the periphery, interrupted by small cross stops. The design is framed by a toothed border. The portrait is engraved in the restrained, naturalistic style characteristic of Bertram Mackennal's royal coinage work. |
