Reverse description The arms of Jersey — a shield bearing three golden leopards passant guardant arranged vertically on a red field — occupy the central portion of the reverse, engraved by Leonard Charles Wyon. The date 19 23 is divided on either side of the lower shield, flanking the charge. The circular legend STATES OF JERSEY. ONE TWENTY-FOURTH OF A SHILLING. runs around the periphery within a beaded border, with the denomination legend reading upward on the left and downward on the right.
