Opmerkingen

INFINEX — Institutul de Finanțare Externă — was a Romanian wartime body established to handle financial transactions with Germany during the Axis occupation period, functioning essentially as a clearing mechanism for the Reich's economic extraction from Romania. These notes were not public currency; they circulated within a closed military-economic framework, issued to Romanian workers and contractors operating in German-controlled territory or fulfilling Reich-adjacent obligations.

The P#M6 classification reflects its liminal status — neither fully military scrip nor civilian issue. Most INFINEX material was destroyed or lost as the political situation reversed after August 1944.
