| 裏面の説明 | A Viking longship rendered in fine detail occupies the central field, depicted under full sail with a distinctive crosshatched square sail billowing from a central mast surmounted by a decorative finial. The prow features a characteristic dragon-head figurehead, and the hull displays a row of shields along its gunwale as the vessel rides stylised waves. Three seagulls in flight are depicted in the field to either side of the ship, and the entire design is framed by a rope-pattern border. The legend PLATINUM 1/20 OZ FINE appears in the lower exergue, with TWENTIETH NOBLE completing the inscription below. |

The Noble series was introduced by the Isle of Man in 1983, making it one of the earliest government-sanctioned platinum bullion coinages in the world — preceding the American Platinum Eagle by fourteen years. Pobjoy Mint, which has held the Isle of Man's minting contract since 1973, produced these in fractional denominations specifically to broaden the platinum bullion market to smaller investors during a period when platinum briefly commanded a significant premium over gold.
The 1/20 Noble is the smallest fractional in the series. KM#266 spans four consecutive years, an unusually long run for a Pobjoy platinum issue without design revision.
