| 背面描述 | The reverse features a central cartouche containing bilingual inscriptions denoting the coin's value, rendered in two distinct scripts. The inner field presents the denomination in Jawi (Arabic-based Malay script) reading 'سڤر دوڤوله روڤيه' (one twentieth rupiah), while the outer border carries the equivalent inscription in Javanese Hanacaraka script 'ꦱꦥꦫꦫꦺꦴꦁꦥꦸꦭꦸꦃ ꦫꦸꦥꦶꦪꦃ꧈', together forming a bilingual statement of face value within a beaded circular border. |

This fractional denomination survived into the 1850s largely by institutional inertia — the Dutch monetary system was in the middle of a prolonged rationalization following the 1840s reforms under Willem II, and small silver fractions were already being phased out in favor of copper for low-value transactions. The 1/20 gulden saw only two years of production under Willem III before being discontinued entirely.
At 0.61 grams, attrition in circulation was severe. Surviving examples in any condition above Fine are genuinely scarce.
