| Reverse description | An elaborate floriated cross with fleurs-de-lis terminals occupies the center of the field, dividing the peripheral legend into four segments; a small quatrefoil is placed at the crossing. The date appears in the legend arc at the top of the coin, interrupted by the uppermost fleur-de-lis finial of the cross. The overall design follows the standard type established for the small billon coinage of the Spanish Netherlands under Philip II, with the inscription running continuously around the irregularly shaped hammered flan. |
