Aanvullende informatie

Mustafa II reclaimed the throne in 1695 following the humiliating Treaty of Karlowitz negotiations that would ultimately strip the Ottoman Empire of Hungary — the first major territorial concession to Christian Europe in the empire's history. This half-zolota circulated during the precise years when Ottoman military and fiscal confidence began a structural contraction it would never fully reverse. The para system itself was a fractional accounting mechanism adapted partly to manage chronic silver debasement pressures across Anatolian and Balkan markets.
