Reverse description The papal coat of arms of Benedict XIV is displayed centrally, depicted as a vertically striped shield surmounted by the papal tiara (triregnum) and flanked by the crossed keys of Saint Peter, one gold and one silver, bound with a cord. The arms are rendered in bold relief within the coin's field, occupying nearly the full diameter. The two-part Latin legend REPENTE DE·CAELO, meaning 'Suddenly from the Sky,' encircles the design, distributed along the left and right periphery respectively. The border is finished with a uniform beaded or toothed rim consistent with the obverse.
