Reverse description Central field features two large Chinese characters 中圓 (Half Yuan) arranged vertically, enclosed within a symmetrical wreath of rice and floral sprays tied at the base with a ribbon bow. A six-character Chinese legend is arranged around the upper portion of the field reading 二枚當一圓 (2 pieces equal 1 Yuan), with the character 一圓 appearing on the left and right borders respectively. The wreath design is rendered in fine detail with naturalistic foliage and budding branches, all contained within a beaded border.
