| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate and draped bust of King João VI facing right, rendered in the characteristic crude hammered style of the Goa mint. The royal portrait is surrounded by a circular legend reading GOA MEI X followed by the date, with linear border. The bust displays curled hair beneath the laurel wreath, with drapery visible at the shoulder truncation. The lettering MEI X is an abbreviation for Meia Xerafim (Half Xerafim), incorporated into the obverse legend.
