| Obverse description | A sinuous imperial dragon is depicted in high relief at the centre of the field, coiling dynamically and clutching a flaming orb, its scaled body rendered with fine detail in the East Asian tradition. The regnal date legend in Chinese characters (光武十一年, '11th year of Gwang Mu') arcs along the upper periphery within a beaded inner border, flanked by the Hanja inscription 大韓 ('Great Korea') to the left and the Hangul denomination 반원 to the right. The Latin denomination legend HALF WON appears along the lower rim outside the beaded circle. The entire design is enclosed by a reeded outer border. |

| Reverse description | At the centre of the field, the denomination 半圜 ('Half Won') is inscribed in large Chinese characters within an ornate circular wreath of stylised foliage. Above the wreath, a five-petalled plum blossom, serving as the Imperial Seal of Korea, crowns the design. The wreath and central motif are contained within a plain inner circle, surrounded by a beaded border and the reeded outer rim of the coin. |
