| Obverse description | Male head in right profile, rendered in the local Ibero-Celtiberian artistic tradition showing clear Hellenistic influence. The effigy displays loosely curled hair falling behind the neck, framed by a dotted border encircling the flan. Two small pellets or globules appear to the left of the bust in the field, a characteristic decorative element of Celtiberian bronze coinage. The facial features are boldly modelled, with a prominent nose and strong jaw typical of the local die-cutting style. The overall execution is vigorous though somewhat crude, consistent with a provincial Hispanic mint of the late 2nd century BC. |
