| Obverse description | Facing bust of Ahmad Shah Qajar at center, depicted as a young ruler wearing a traditional Qajar plumed crown (kolah) and military uniform with epaulettes. The portrait is rendered in a naturalistic style typical of late Qajar coinage. The Solar Hijri regnal date ١٣٣٧ (1337 AH) is divided across the field, flanking the portrait on either side.
