Reverse description Central field displays a plain cross pattée extending to the inner circle, dividing the field into four equal quarters. The cross is rendered in a simple, bold style characteristic of Iberian medieval billon coinage. A beaded inner circle frames the cross, with the circumferential legend DOMINVS MICHI AIVTOR (meaning 'The Lord is my helper') inscribed in Gothic Latin letters around the periphery. The legend is separated from the border by a beaded or linear rim, consistent with the hammered coinage of Fernando I's reign.
