Obverse description The obverse bears three horizontal lines of elegant Nastaliq calligraphy filling the central field, separated by linear dividers and framed by a decorative border of small raised pellets along the coin's irregular periphery. The inscription, executed in deeply struck relief characteristic of Qajar hammered gold coinage, reads the royal epithet attributing the issue of golden royal coins to Fath Ali Shah. The calligraphic legends are arranged in a flowing, stacked format typical of early Qajar monetary production, with the script rendered in fine cursive strokes. The overall artistic style reflects the refined Persian calligraphic tradition employed at the Isfahan mint during the early reign of Fath Ali Shah.
