| Obverse description | Central field occupied by the Islamic shahada inscription rendered in dense, flowing Arabic calligraphy within an irregular octagonal or polygonal border formed by a braided or rope-like decorative frame. The legend reads the declaration of faith in two lines, set against a plain gold field with no additional pictorial elements. The overall style is consistent with hammered Central Asian Islamic coinage of the mid-nineteenth century, with the script filling nearly the entire flan. |
