| Obverse description | Facing bust of Duke Ulrich III with a full beard, attired in period costume and wearing an ornate high-crowned hat decorated with a cross motif. The effigy is rendered in a robust, slightly archaic style typical of late 16th-century German minting. An imperial orb appears in the upper margin of the field, just above the duke's head. The bust is contained within an inner beaded circle, with the Latin legend running in the outer margin. |
