Reverse description Armored equestrian figure of a knight, facing right at full gallop, bearing a sword raised aloft and a heraldic shield on his arm, representing the militant ideals of the Teutonic Order. Below the horse, the date 16-12 is divided across the field in two parts. The Teutonic Order's cross shield appears prominently in the lower exergual area. The entire central composition is encircled by a wreath of twelve heraldic shields depicting the coats of arms of the territories and bailiwicks associated with the Order, arranged symmetrically around the periphery within a beaded border.
