Reverse description Central field depicts Saint Rupert, patron of Salzburg, seated three-quarters facing left in full pontifical vestments including mitre and cope, holding a crozier in his left hand and a salt barrel at his side — his traditional attribute. To the right, the arms of Salzburg are displayed on a baroque cartouche surmounted by a mitra and crozier. The date 1752 appears in the upper portion of the legend. The circular Latin legend reads EPISCOP SALISBURGENS, with S RUPERTUS distributed around the upper field, all within a beaded rim.
