| Obverse description | Central ornate eight-fold quartered shield of arms displaying the combined heraldic achievements of the five co-ruling Counts of Stolberg, surmounted by a small imperial orb. The shield quarters incorporate various devices including lions, chevrons, and a chequered pattern, all framed by elaborate Renaissance strapwork cartouche. A continuous Latin legend running along the inner border of the beaded outer rim records the titles and names of the five counts, reading LUDO · HENRI · ALBE · GEORGI · WOLFE. |

| Reverse description | Central device consisting of an ornate Renaissance plumed helmet displayed in full face, decorated with elaborate foliate and scrollwork mantling issuing from either side, the whole resting upon a coronet. The date 1573 is divided by the helmet, with the numerals 15 and 73 appearing in the respective left and right fields. A continuous Latin legend surrounding the central device within a beaded border reads COMITES · IN · STOLBERG · ET · WERNI, continuing the titles of the five counts from the obverse. |
