| Obverse description | Draped and armored bust of Count Ernst to the right, wearing a flowing full-bottomed wig rendered in fine curling detail, with elaborate lace cravat and cuirass visible at the truncation. The portrait is executed in high relief in the Baroque manner characteristic of engraver Christian Wermuth. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading the count's full titles and running from upper right around the periphery of the coin. |
