Reverse description Plain, unadorned field across the entire square klippe flan, exhibiting the characteristic flat surface of the reverse die face with no devices, legends, or decorative elements. The surface shows the natural texture and flow lines of the hammered silver planchet, with visible die contact marks and the patination consistent with a mid-sixteenth-century emergency issue struck on a roughly prepared square blank. This uniface-style reverse is typical of klippe pieces produced under wartime conditions at Hermannstadt during Ferdinand I's occupation of Transylvania in 1552.
