Reverse description The elaborately quartered electoral arms of Saxony, surmounted by an electoral hat and flanked by decorative scroll supporters, occupy the central field within a beaded inner circle. The shield displays the multiple heraldic quarters of the Saxon territorial claims, including the crossed swords of the Marshalship of the Holy Roman Empire. The date appears at the top of the legend, and the circular inscription continues the titles of the elector around the full circumference of the coin.
