Reverse description The reverse features a large crowned heart dominating the central field, upon which the name JESUS is inscribed, evoking the Lutheran pietistic tradition of the period. The heart is surrounded by a wreath of laurel or olive branches, symbolising victory over death and eternal life. A circular outer legend in German runs along the entire rim, bearing the devotional motto. The composition is bold and emblematic, characteristic of seventeenth-century German Protestant memorial coinage, where personal faith and salvation theology are expressed through heraldic and devotional imagery.
