| Beschrijving keerzijde | The shield of the ducal Saxony arms is centrally placed within a circle, flanked by the divided mintmaster's or workshop initials C - O. The date of issue appears above the central shield. Surrounding the central composition is an arrangement of thirteen small shields of arms, each representing a territorial claim or possession of the duchy, disposed in a circular pattern within the field. A Latin legend denoting the rulers' further titles runs along the outer border of the reverse. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Saxe-Coburg-Eisenach existed as a joint duchy only between 1596 and 1633, when brothers John Casimir and John Ernest ruled together under the terms of their father's inheritance arrangement. The brevity of that co-rulership window makes the entire coinage of this period inherently short-lived, and pieces dated to the early years of the joint reign — before the brothers' relationship soured into open territorial dispute — are correspondingly scarce.
The Grasser reference places this among a small documented series. Four years of production under two signatures was never going to yield large mintages.
