| Additional information |
Johann Christian and Georg Rudolf were brothers ruling Liegnitz-Brieg jointly, a co-rulership arrangement common among Silesian Piast dukes but always administratively awkward. This issue falls precisely at the outbreak of the Thirty Years' War — the Bohemian revolt began in May 1618, and Silesia's Protestant estates were deeply entangled in the crisis from the start.
The Koppatz rarity rating of R8 indicates surviving examples in the single digits. Liegnitz-Brieg's minting activity during the joint reign was sporadic, and wartime metal demands made large silver fractions difficult to sustain in production beyond a single fiscal year.
