| Obverse description | Draped bust of Bishop Jakob Ernst von Liechtenstein-Kastelkorn facing right, depicted in ecclesiastical vestments with a mozzetta and pectoral cross, his curled hair falling to his shoulders. The portrait is rendered in high relief in a baroque style typical of Central European episcopal coinage of the early eighteenth century. The encircling Latin legend runs along the outer rim, interrupted at the base by the bust truncation. |

| Additional information |
Jakob Ernst von Liechtenstein-Kastelkorn served as Prince-Bishop of Olomouc from 1738 until his death in 1745, a tenure defined largely by the upheaval of the War of Austrian Succession, which broke out in 1740 when Frederick the Great invaded Silesia. Moravia found itself directly in the military and economic crossfire, making the continued operation of the Olomouc mint through 1742 a notable administrative achievement under genuine duress.
The Dav EC III reference places this squarely within the ecclesiastical coinage of the Holy Roman Empire's Bohemian circle — a category that collapsed almost entirely within a generation as Joseph II's reforms dismantled episcopal minting rights across the Austrian lands.
