Obverse description Armored bust of Gustav II Adolf of Sweden facing right, depicted with a prominent mustache and short beard, wearing richly detailed plate armor with a lace collar visible beneath the gorget. The effigy is set within a beaded inner circle, with the circular Latin legend reading GUSTAVUS ADOLPH MAGN D G SUECOR REX AUGUST arranged around the portrait. The engraving is executed in a bold, high-relief baroque style characteristic of early seventeenth-century German commemorative coinage.
