Obverse description A quartered armorial shield of the Livonian Order is centrally positioned atop a cross, the entire device enclosed within a square inner border. The shield displays the heraldic charges of the Order across its four quarters. A Latin legend is arranged above and below the shield within the square frame, citing the issuing authority and date. The overall composition reflects the late medieval German hammered coinage tradition, with bold Gothic lettering surrounding the central device.

Reverse description The reverse is entirely blank, with no design, legend, or ornamental elements struck upon the plain silver flan. This uniface characteristic is consistent with certain emergency or provisional half-thaler issues produced under Gotthard Kettler during the final years of the Livonian Order. The flat, featureless field retains the natural texture of the hammered planchet.
