The shield and helm are rendered in high relief with fine decorative scrollwork flanking the composition. A beaded inner border separates the armorial device from the circumferential Latin motto legend, which reads VERBVM DOMINI MANET IN AETERNVM followed by the date. The date visible in the image appears as 1545, consistent with the known issue years for this type. |
