Obverse description Bearded bust of Duke Frederick II of Liegnitz-Brieg facing right, wearing a cap and fur-trimmed mantle with decorative collar, rendered in high relief in the Renaissance style typical of mid-16th century Silesian coinage. The effigy is contained within a beaded inner circle that separates the portrait from the surrounding legend. The circumferential Latin legend reads FRIDERICVS D G DVX SILESIE LIGNIC ET BREGENSIS, identifying the issuer by name and title, with stops separating the abbreviated words. The flan is irregular, consistent with hand-hammered production.

Reverse description Central field displays the quartered arms of the Duchy of Liegnitz-Brieg, depicting a checkered pattern associated with the Piast dynastic heraldry of Silesia, surmounted by a crowned helmet with elaborate Renaissance mantling and a crest of feathers or plumes. The shield and helm are rendered in high relief with fine decorative scrollwork flanking the composition. A beaded inner border separates the armorial device from the circumferential Latin motto legend, which reads VERBVM DOMINI MANET IN AETERNVM followed by the date. The date visible in the image appears as 1545, consistent with the known issue years for this type.
