| 正面描述 | Bust of Cardinal Franz von Dietrichstein facing right, depicted in ecclesiastical vestments with a clerical collar, rendered in a bold high-relief hammered style typical of early 17th-century Central European coinage. The portrait is highly detailed, showing the Cardinal's bearded face and robed shoulders. A beaded inner border frames the design. The circular Latin legend surrounds the bust, reading FRAN:CARD.A.DIESTRICHSTAIN:EPS:OLOMV, identifying him as Cardinal and Bishop of Olomouc. |

Franz von Dietrichstein served as Prince-Bishop of Olomouc from 1599 until his death in 1636, wielding political influence that extended well beyond his diocese — he was a key architect of the Habsburg re-Catholicization of Moravia following the Battle of White Mountain in 1620, and was rewarded with the title of Cardinal. The Bishopric's coinage under his tenure reflects that unusual dual authority: ecclesiastical issuer, imperial enforcer.
The long date range on this type spans nearly a quarter century of production, meaning die marriages vary considerably across the series.
