Obverse description Central field displays an ornate crowned heraldic shield bearing the quartered arms of the Schlick family, with the date 1661 incorporated into the design flanking the shield. Above the arms, in high relief, appear three heavenly figures — the Virgin Mary with the Christ Child at center, and St. Anne to the left — depicted in a devotional group with radiating halos and clouds, rendered in a baroque sculptural style. The encircling Latin legend reads FR.ER.SCHLIK. / CO:A.PASSAN, identifying Count Franz Ernst Schlick and his comital title. The overall composition is characteristic of seventeenth-century German baroque coinage, with richly detailed engraving throughout the field.
