(Translation: Ferdinand I, by the God`s grace Austrian Emperor)
Reverse description The Austrian Imperial double-headed eagle displayed, with wings spread, each head crowned individually and surmounted by a larger imperial crown at centre. The eagle bears on its breast a quartered shield with the arms of the Habsburg dominions. In the upper field, the date is placed between the two crowned heads. The encircling legend, divided between upper and lower periphery, reads HVNG BOH LOMB ET VEN GAL LOD IL REX ARCHID AVST, referencing the many kingdoms and archduchy under Ferdinand I's rule, all within a toothed border.
