Reverse description Elaborate quartered coat of arms of the House of Welf and the Bishopric of Osnabrück, surmounted by a ducal crown adorned with floral ornaments, flanked by two decorative supporters. The shield displays multiple heraldic quarterings including lions rampant, a wheel, a running horse, and other dynastic charges in fine relief. The mint-master's initials H·S appear at the base of the shield on either side. The surrounding legend SOLA. BONA. QVÆ. HONESTA. ANNO. 1662 — meaning 'Only those things are good which are honourable' — runs around the field, separated by stops, with the date integrated into the legend.
