正面描述 Draped bust of Duke Eberhard Louis facing right, rendered in high relief with long flowing periwig in the late Baroque style. The effigy displays finely detailed drapery at the shoulder and chest. The encircling legend reads EBERH • LUD • D • G • - DUX • WURTEMB •, abbreviated from the Latin title acknowledging his status as Duke of Württemberg by the grace of God. The field is smooth and unadorned, directing full attention to the portrait.

附加信息

Eberhard Louis spent much of 1707 consumed by the War of the Spanish Succession, with Württemberg forces committed to the Imperial cause while French armies repeatedly threatened the duchy's western territories. Coinage from this period served immediate fiscal needs — paying troops, managing provisioning contracts — and half-thaler denominations were the workhorses of that system.

The Stuttgart mint's output during these war years was irregular, making any single year's production difficult to quantify. Forster and Schmieder's attribution at #920 places this firmly in a well-documented but sparsely surviving run.
