背面描述 A quartered shield of arms surmounted by a ducal crown occupies the central field. The four quarters display the heraldic arms of Württemberg: the upper-left quarter bears three stag antlers, the upper-right a lozengy field, the lower-left an eagle with a crown at its breast, and the lower-right two fish addorsed. The mint-master initials I.I.W. appear below the shield, flanking the base. The date 1694 is divided by star ornaments along the lower periphery, and the Latin motto CUM DEO ET DIE runs as the circumferential legend around the upper arc within a beaded border.

附加信息

Eberhard Louis was eleven years old in 1694, ruling Württemberg under a regency council following his father's death the previous year. The duchy's coinage during this period was administered by the regency, making these early issues politically complex artifacts of contested authority rather than simple hereditary succession pieces. Louis would go on to become one of the more extravagant German princes of his generation, bankrupting Württemberg partly through the construction of Ludwigsburg Palace — but in 1694, the treasury was still solvent enough to strike respectable silver.
