Obverse description Armored three-quarter bust of Elector Christian II facing right, wearing elaborately engraved plate armor with a prominent gorget and pauldrons, set within a wreath-bordered inner circle. To the right of the effigy, the Saxon coat of arms is displayed, surmounted by a crested helm. The date appears divided by the bust within the inner field. Reverse description Facing confronted armored busts of the two ducal brothers, John George I (left) and August (right), both depicted in elaborate plate armor with richly detailed gorgets and pauldrons, their busts turned slightly inward toward each other. A laurel or foliate wreath frames the inner field. The Latin legend encircling the rim names both princes as brothers and Dukes of Saxony, with the mintmaster's initials appearing in the lower field.
