Reverse description A heart-shaped escutcheon bearing the two-fold arms of Electoral and Ducal Saxony — the rondel-strewn field of the Electorate quartered with the barry with a crancelin of the Duchy — set within an ornate decorative cartouche frame characteristic of late-16th-century German Renaissance engraving. The Latin titular legend of the three co-ruling princes continues from the obverse, encircling the heraldic composition.
