| Obverse description | Armored bust of Prince Christian Frederick Charles facing right, wearing elaborately decorated armor with a star order visible at the truncation. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine engraving detail on the drapery and armor. The encircling Latin legend reads CHRIST. FR. CARD. G.S.R.I. PRINC. HOHENL. KIRCHB., identifying the ruler by name and title. A small mintmark is visible below the bust truncation. The portrait is characteristic of the late German Baroque medallic style. |
