| Aanvullende informatie |
Charles VI spent much of this period locked in the War of the Spanish Succession and its diplomatic aftermath, culminating in the Treaty of Rastatt in 1714. The Kuttenberg mint — Kutná Hora in Bohemia — had been a major silver-striking center since the medieval period, its output sustained by the local silver mines that had once made Bohemia one of the wealthiest territories in Central Europe. By the early eighteenth century those mines were in serious decline, which makes the continued operation of the mint during these years a deliberate political statement about Habsburg sovereignty over the Bohemian lands rather than a purely economic one.
The conflicting KM numbers across references suggest catalogers have not fully resolved the die relationship between issues within this date range.
