| Obverse description | Armored bust of Charles I (Karl von Liechtenstein), Duke of Troppau, facing right, wearing elaborately engraved plate armor with a prominent ruff collar. The effigy is rendered in fine relief in the early Baroque style characteristic of Silesian coinage of the period. A beaded inner border frames the bust, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery reading CAROLVS. D: G. DVX. OPPAVIÆ. PRINCEPS. |
