Reverse description Within an inner circle, a displayed imperial eagle with wings spread and head turned to the left, rendered in the vigorous engraving style typical of mid-16th-century Swiss hammered coinage. The eagle's talons are clearly defined at the base of the design. A circular Latin legend surrounds the inner circle, separated by pellet stops, with a cross pattee at the beginning of the inscription. The rope-twisted border frames the entire reverse field.
