Obverse description Central device features a displayed imperial double-headed eagle with spread wings and detailed feathering, set against a plain field. The eagle's heads bear open beaks and the body displays a scalloped breast. The date 1546 appears prominently in the upper portion of the field flanking the eagle's necks.
