| Beschrijving voorzijde | Hammered copper flan bearing bold Arabic calligraphic legends in the Tughra-influenced style typical of the Gujarat Sultanate. The field displays the regnal name and titles of Sultan Qutb-ud-Din Bahadur Shah (AH 932–943 / AD 1526–1536), arranged in multiple registers separated by a horizontal line. The inscription is struck in high relief against a flat, unadorned field, with the AH date numerals visible within the legend. The coin's irregular flan and robust strike are characteristic of hand-struck issues of the period. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Qutb-ud-Din Bahadur Shah ruled Gujarat at its territorial peak, pushing the sultanate's borders into Malwa and Rajputana while simultaneously contending with the first serious Portuguese pressure on the western coast. His reign ended abruptly in 1537 when he drowned — almost certainly pushed — during negotiations with a Portuguese fleet off Diu, making him one of the few sultans to die in direct contact with European naval power.
