| 背面描述 | The reverse presents a densely packed Arabic inscription in Naskh script, arranged in multiple horizontal lines across the entire field, typical of the epigraphic coinage of the Gujarat Sultanate. The text records the mint formula and regnal or religious titles of the sultan. The strike is bold but irregular, with some weakness at the periphery owing to the hand-hammered technique and the irregular planchet. No decorative border or inner circle is present; the design fills the flan to its rough edge. |

Nasir al-Din Mahmud Shah I ruled Gujarat for over three decades, a reign unusual for its stability in a sultanate that had seen violent succession disputes in earlier generations. The copper fractional coinage of his reign served the daily transactions of a port economy already drawing Venetian and Portuguese merchant interest — Vasco da Gama's second voyage reached the Gujarat coast within years of this coin's minting window.
