| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend in Naskh script reading 'Mahmud Shah bin Ibrahim Shah Sultani' with the AH regnal date 864 (1460 AD) inscribed within the field. The inscription is disposed across the flan in the manner typical of Jaunpur Sultanate billon coinage, with no border or additional ornamental devices. The strike is characteristic of hammered production, resulting in a slightly irregular flan with the legend filling the available field. |
