| Reverse description | Central field displays a bold nastaliq calligraphic inscription incorporating the mint name Kojur (كجر) within an elongated teardrop or ogival cartouche, rendered in high relief against a flat field. The mint formula reads 'Zarb Kojur' (struck in Kojur), flanked and interwoven with additional Shi'ite Kalima text. A continuous circular marginal legend surrounds the central device, repeating the Shi'ite profession of faith with dot separators punctuating the border. The engraving style is consistent with late sixteenth-century Safavid provincial mint practice, with freely flowing calligraphic strokes filling the flan. The irregular hammered flan results in partial legend loss at the periphery. |
