| Описание аверса | Struck in the hammered tradition, the obverse presents bold Arabic script arranged across the field within a plain border. The central legend, rendered in a robust Naskh hand, occupies the majority of the flan and bears the regal titulature of the sultan. A Hijri regnal year numeral appears in the lower portion of the field. The coin exhibits characteristic irregular flan edges and a patina of green and brown oxidation consistent with long burial. |

Ghiyas ud-Din Muhammad II ruled Gujarat for less than a decade before his death in 1451, a reign short enough that copper fractions from his issue survive in considerably smaller numbers than those of his longer-lived predecessors. The Gujarat Sultanate's copper coinage of this period circulated heavily in the port markets of Cambay and Surat, where low-denomination pieces were ground through daily commerce at a rate that left most examples severely worn.
